Quote of the day...
"There comes a point in life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore, and who always will. So don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future."

And I thought I was done with studying...
So, as many of you know, I am a claims examiner for The Home Depot. After much thought and a nice chat with my boss, I have decided that I am going to study for my AIC (Adjuster in Claims). Not many people have it in my office, which will make me stand out in a great way. Once completed, I will get a sweet little bonus and possibly a raise (if not before then). After studying yesterday, it reminded me of being back at school again. So for all of you recent graduates, don't think that all the tests are over because you could be like me-- writing a million notecards all over again. Wish me luck!

A little piece of heaven :)
Heels or no heels, that is the question...
I have decided, as I do about once a week, that I am going to try to get back into the habit of running again (and working out for that matter). Due to my plantar fasciitis, I was not supposed to run for a while. After several shots in the bottom of both feet and several unsuccessful doctor visits, I have decided that I am going to fight through the pain so I can maybe run the half marathon I've been wanting to run on Thanksgiving morning. I just signed up for a 5k next month, and so the training begins.
How did I get plantar fasciitis you ask? I get teased by co-workers on a daily basis as to why I should not be wondering why my feet hurt. They then point down at the cute heels I am wearing that day. This is a dilemma you see. If you know me, you know that I live in heels (and LOVE shoes!). I could wear them to bed if I had to. In fact, I think I have once or twice. Although this is probably not THE reason why I have plantar fasciitis, it doesn't help the cause. The doc prescribed me night splints to wear and they look absolutely ridiculous and they are uber uncomfortable! You are supposed to wear them while you are sleeping. That lasted half a night a couple nights in a row. I kept waking up in the morning only to find them on the floor.
So the question remains: Heels or no heels?
I think by the pic you can guess what I chose ;)

Hello world!
I'm bacckkkk! :) So, I've decided to give this whole blog thing another shot with a new site! I figured it would be a great way to document my crazy life!
I guess I should give you all somewhat of an intro or update, eh? Let's see here... I turned 25 two days ago! Man do I feel old. Well, to be honest I don't really FEEL old, but I think you get what I am saying. I did get a pedi the other day and the woman asked if I started high school back up Monday. I started to chuckle and told her that I was already out of college. You should have seen the look on her face!
Anyway, I am now working at 97.1 The River and I am also a Claims Examiner for The Home Depot account at my company. I definitely never would have pictured myself where I am today, but it is a pleasant surprise for the time being. I am still not sure what I want to do with my life, then again I'm not sure if anyone does. I also play on a co-ed softball team. I like to stay as active as possible and definitely need to get back into the gym habit. Other than that, I am just living it up-- conquering the world! :)
My brother Aaron just got married to Coley on Aug. 9, 2009. They are expecting their first child in January. I feel bad for the kid already because I am going to spoil the heck out of him/her! I don't think they realize how excited I am. I can't wait to buy all the baby clothes, toys, etc.!
Well, that's all folks! (for now that is)
More to come soooon! :)
