Olivia's Baby Shower

April 27th was baby Olivia's baby shower. It was hosted by my Mom and my best friend Jessica and was held at my parent's house. When I arrived, I was simply blown away!! It was obvious that my Mom had spent HOURS decorating and putting everything together. It was just gorgeous, classy and completely matched my nursery theme- shabby chic. I especially loved the Olivia ribbon and lace decoration over the table, the wish tree, and the diaper cake my Aunt Ann and cousin Kim made. Everything was just gorgeous and WAY over-the-top. I really need to post some of the pictures on Pinterest because they are totally worthy.

The best part, though, was that all of my favorite people came from all over the country to spend time with me and to celebrate my sweet baby girl. It was such a blessing!! My best friend Ashley came from New York and completely surprised me!! My Aunt Ann and cousin Kim came from Ohio. Jason's Aunt Leslie came from Chicago. My mother-in-love came in from Missouri. And all of my other sweet family and friends came from all over Georgia. Boy did I (and I still do!) feel so loved!! It meant the world to me to see all of my family and friends gather together so I could spend time with them- something I sooo miss when we are living out of the country.

Words can't describe how grateful I am for each person that came and for all of the amazing gifts we received. Olivia and I (and Jason too!) were literally showered with love, well wishes and presents and for that, I am so thankful. I am one lucky and SPOILED girl and so is Olivia (and she isn't even here yet!!)!! Thanks for putting together such a special day for us that I will remember forever. You have no idea how much it means to me! And for those that couldn't make it, please know that you were truly missed. I love you all!!

BIG NEWS!!

Guess what?! We are having a baby girl!! I bet you already guessed that though. We do, however, have some other very big news for our little family...

*We are moving back to Singapore!* Yes, you heard that right...

As much as I have enjoyed being Stateside the last few months, we are looking forward to our next adventure with our little girl in tow. After she makes her grand appearance, of course.

Jason will start his new position in July. He will go pick out a place at the beginning of July (and send me lots of pictures!!) and will travel back and forth until Olivia and I get everything together (shots, passports, paperwork, etc). We will most likely head out together sometime at the end of August.

I am nervous, scared, excited, happy, sad... all combined into one. I know it will be great for our family but I am so going to miss being so close to family and friends, especially since my sweet baby will have just arrived. It will most likely be a 2-3 year commitment and I know it will just fly by and we will be home to visit A LOT. Just pray that baby girl likes to travel because 24 hours of flying each way will probably be VERY stressful. I am very excited that we have the opportunity to show her the world though. It is a once in a lifetime opportunity and will be quite the adventure. I mean, what a lucky baby to be able to vacay in Thailand, Vietnam, Bali and whatnot. Not too shabby!

Is it bad that one of my first thoughts (besides missing family and friends, of course) is that Olivia won't even really get to enjoy her gorgeous nursery that we finally just finished? Oh well, we will move most of it with us. That's life I guess. We always seem to fly by the seat of our pants. ;)

So, while we are still here all summer, I hope to see all of my family and friends a lot before we leave. And, as always, we will have a guest room and visitors are very welcome!!

On that note, I will leave you with some pictures that were taken on our very first move abroad... to Singapore the first time back in April of 2010. Crazy how much things have changed since then. I am very much looking forward to this next adventure. We are so blessed!!

Olivia's Nursery

I know, I know- I haven't posted in a while. With baby showers and getting the nursery together, there just doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. That being said, the nursery is now finished and everything is washed and put away. All we need now is our sweet baby girl. Crazy to think that I am due in less than a month. Where does the time go?! Can I tell you how excited I am? I am so ready for my sweet baby girl to make her appearance!! :)

So, without further ado, here is sweet Olivia's nursery.

Might I add that the changing table/dresser, hutch and small mirror were all painted and antiqued by Jason. Isn't he amazing?! He did such a great job!! I should have taken more before and after pics. Here are the ones I took of the hutch.
